Ecological Function

Landscapes have work to do! Designed places not only look good, but also serve an ecological purpose.

For example: What looks like an ornamental dry creek bed (above) is also a functioning stormwater detention basin.

What’s that? It’s a place to hold water during storms where it can slowly seep back into the ground. It puts water where plants can use it, filters pollutants and prevents flooding… all good & important things.
